Privacy Policy
This privacy policy (hereinafter the “Privacy Policy”) applies to any person who browses the Site (namely the Institutional Portal and the CRC Platforms to which said portal links), uses the various admission and registration services on the Platforms (hereinafter the “Services”) and/or interacts with the CRC in the context of using the site (hereinafter the “user(s)”).
The CRC, as data controller, endeavours and undertakes to protect users’ privacy in accordance with legal requirements and any law or directive that may supplement or replace them – and with European Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (“GDPR”). The purpose of this Privacy Policy is thus, in particular, to inform Users as fully as possible of how the CRC protects the personal data it collects through the site. By providing personal data in the course of using the site and the services, the user acknowledges having read the terms of this Privacy Policy and of the General Terms of Use. Unless otherwise indicated in this Privacy Policy, capitalised terms that are defined in the General Terms of Use shall have the same meaning in the Privacy Policy.
Data collected by the CRC
In connection with the Institutional Portal, the CRC may in particular collect and process the following user data:
Subscription to the email newsletter: title, surname, first name, status, email address. In connection with the admissions platform, the CRC may in particular collect and process the following user data:
- Identity and contact details: title, surname, first names, address, telephone number (landline and/or mobile), email addresses, date and place of birth, nationality, photocopy of an identity card;
- Family, economic and financial situation: socio-professional category of parents, type of scholarship;
Professional life: CV, cover letter, copies of transcripts and of diplomas obtained, letter of recommendation; - Personal data of an academic or professional referee of the applicant: surname, first name, title, email address, institution;
- Personal data of the applicant’s emergency contact: surname, first name, title, email address, telephone.
The mandatory nature of the information that the User must provide on the Site is indicated at the time of data collection and on the corresponding forms by an asterisk and/or by a list of mandatory fields. Any failure to respond, or any response deemed abnormal by the CRC, may result in the CRC refusing to process the user’s request. The CRC may invite the User to provide certain personal data for prospecting/marketing communication purposes (sending newsletters, invitations to events, etc.). The user may unsubscribe at any time, at least by email, or via a dedicated interface.
Purposes of processing
As data controller, the CRC collects Users’ personal data lawfully and fairly, and with respect for their rights. The main purpose of collecting personal data is to offer Users a safe, optimal, efficient and personalised experience. The information collected by the CRC, including personal data, is used for the following purposes:
- Managing the creation of user accounts;
- Managing the submission of applications to programmes;
- Sending newsletters and other prospecting messages (with the user’s consent);
- Communicating with users and answering their questions;
- Complying with applicable laws and regulations;
- Data collected by means of cookies;
- Cookies may be used on the site. Cookies are small files that are stored on the user’s computer or on any electronic communications device used by the user when browsing the site. These files enable status information to be exchanged between the site and the user’s browser. The CRC thus uses the following cookies:
Navigation cookies: These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the site and its features. These cookies do not collect information intended to be used for commercial prospecting or targeted advertising purposes.
Performance cookies: These cookies collect information on how the Site is used by all users. Performance cookies help, in particular, to identify particularly popular sections of the site and to count the number of visits. This information makes it possible to adapt the content of the site to users’ needs and thereby to improve the range and usability of the services offered on the site. To use the data for statistical purposes, the site uses the Google Analytics tool.
We would, however, draw your attention to the fact that if you set your browser to refuse cookies placed by the CRC, certain features or pages of the Site may be difficult or even impossible to access. You can accept or refuse cookies by changing your browser settings. You can delete all the cookies that have been installed in your browser’s cookie folder. Each browser has different procedures for managing your settings: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari.
Data retention period
The data collected will be retained in accordance with the legislation in force and the applicable limitation periods. In accordance with the Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), the user has the right to access, rectify and delete data concerning them. They may also object to the processing of their personal data on legitimate grounds. They may furthermore send the CRC specific instructions regarding the use of their data after their death. The user also has the right to object, at no cost and free of charge, to the use of personal data concerning them by the CRC for prospecting purposes.

The CRC may ask the user to provide proof of identity before responding to their request.
Accuracy of personal data
The user undertakes to ensure that the personal data concerning them communicated on the site are up to date, accurate, complete and unambiguous.
Disclosure of users’ personal data
The CRC undertakes to retain all personal data collected via the site and to share it only in certain circumstances and in accordance with the provisions of the applicable regulations. In particular, the CRC may give third-party service providers, acting as processors, access to users’ personal data in order to perform services relating to the Site, in particular hosting, storage, analytics, data processing, database management or IT maintenance services. These providers act solely on the CRC’s instructions, will have access to Users’ personal data only in order to perform these services, and will be bound by the same security and confidentiality obligations as the CRC. In addition, the user’s personal data may be shared with third parties for the following reasons:
In response to legal or administrative proceedings of any kind, or to law enforcement measures requested by the competent authorities;
To comply with legal obligations, to protect the rights and/or safety of an individual, or to protect the rights and property of the CRC, including the need to ensure compliance with this Privacy Policy, and to prevent fraud, security or technical problems.
Security and protection of users’ personal data
The security of personal data is one of the CRC’s priorities. The CRC undertakes to take all reasonable administrative and technical measures to prevent any disclosure, use, alteration or destruction of the personal data that a User provides to it (access control, password security, access based on specific authorisations, etc.).
Changes to the Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy may be consulted on the site at any time. The CRC reserves the right to amend it at any time. The amended Privacy Policy shall take effect on the date on which it is posted on the site.
