Off-curriculum projects

Presentation

The CRC works with local and international partners on a variety of research projects, in particular by enabling researchers to carry out projects in new places, as through its involvement in Erasmus+, and by organising conferences with leading professionals and academics from around the world.

The Research and Creation Projects are not part of the students’ curriculum. Each CRC Research and Creation Project addresses a specific theme in line with the CRC’s overall research and creation focus. Research and Creation Projects bring together Research and Creation Project Leads, facilitators and (optionally) students.

The Research and Creation Project Leads guide the enrolled researchers in carrying out the research and creation projects.

Who?

· The Research and Creation Leads: (They do not necessarily hold a doctorate.) The leads design the content of their project and write a research and creation brief. The Research and Creation Leads propose the names of the facilitators for their project.
· Facilitators: (They do not necessarily hold a doctorate.) They are invited to the projects to carry out specific tasks in support of the ongoing research-creation. They are ALBA teachers or external facilitators.
· Students: Where applicable, these are students of the ALBA schools taking part in the project on an optional basis.

Duration

The duration of research and creation projects is set by the CRC on a case-by-case basis.
