PhD. Art historian and critic, consultant, archaeologist and designer, Rabih Machaalany is a Senior Lecturer at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA – Koura Campus, University of Balamand); he obtained his doctorate from the Université Paris IV – Sorbonne in 2006 with the thesis “l’architecture religieuse au Liban XIX & XX siècles”.

He holds two master’s degrees, the first focusing on Occidentalism in Lebanese art in France, and the second on Impressionism in Lebanese art in France and in Lebanon.

He has contributed to many associations since becoming a member of ARTEMED for the year 2003 in Paris, has served as a jury member of the Cabriolet Film Festival in Lebanon, and has organised numerous art exhibitions. Keynote speaker at “Liban terre de Phénicie terre de cultures et de civilisations” at the Casino du Liban in 2009. Designer of numerous projects in Doha, Qatar, and Beirut, Lebanon. Rabih is also a consultant for private groups in Lebanon and abroad.
