Samer Eid

Born in Beirut, Lebanon (1977), Samer Henri Eid studied architecture at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) [ Project awarded the ’Chadirji Prize’ in 2001 ].
An architect since 2002, he set up his own professional practice, “Search”. He has taken part in several competitions and won numerous awards, building a growing reputation with a wide range of unconventional projects.
The architectural “hybrids” of “Search” have been widely published [ ’World Architecture Community’ Award in 2008 ]. Teaching since 2005, he is the author of several publications and the founder and Director of ALBA’s experimental platform, through which he actively explores the cybernetic affiliation between natural systems, emergent forms, spatial linguistics and artificial intelligence.
