Based on archives, archaeology and narrative, his approach took shape in his doctoral thesis at the Sorbonne, “Habitats abandonnés de Beyrouth. Guerres et mutations de l’espace urbain : 1860-2015” (2016), in the book Habitats abandonnés, une histoire de Beyrouth (Beirut, Kaph Books, 2018) and in the exhibitions Abandoned Dwellings, Display of Systems (Beirut, Sursock Museum, 2018) and Habitats abandonnés de Beyrouth (Brussels, Villa Empain, 2019).
He contributed to the first Lebanese pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2018). In 2020, he attributed and brought to light two paintings by Artemisia Gentileschi that had been damaged by the Beirut port explosion.
He has served on numerous juries and committees, including for the evaluation of art schools in France for the Haut conseil de l’évaluation de la recherche et de l’enseignement supérieur – HCERES (2023).
